MISSION STATEMENT
Legitimate Operation Productions is a very super serious budding media empire seeking to create world peace one work of art at a time.
Founded by lovers, Harriette Feliz and Riley Shanahan in 2018 in Studio City, CA, the company was born from impatience, anger, and a need to create art while we are still living.
We are resource-oriented filmmakers focused on ideas we can shoot simply that still have a profound effect on it's audience.
We are looking to make this company our full time job by 2031 so please support us if so moved!
FOUNDERS
Harriette Feliz is a Los Angeles based producer and multidisciplinary artist whose work centers on bold, character driven stories and emerging voices. She is the founder of Legitimate Operations Productions, through which she develops and produces film and theater projects with a focus on resource based storytelling, distinctive perspectives, and stories that create conversation.
Harriette’s producing career grew out of her background in professional theater and performance. A BFA graduate of Cornish College of the Arts, she has produced and performed in projects across Los Angeles, Seattle, and beyond, bringing a hands on, creatively driven approach to every stage of production.
Her work is informed by a deep belief in the power of artists to make meaningful work with limited resources and big ambition
A proud descendant of the Chumash people, Harriette is committed to creating bold, human stories that make space for voices often overlooked.
Riley Shanahan is an actor, director, teaching artist, and writer. Most notably, he was a series regular on HBO Max’s Doom Patrol, where he portrayed Cliff Steele/Robotman with Brendan Fraser (yes, he’s as kind as they say) for all four seasons.
Riley recently played Rev. T. Lawrence Shannon in The Night of the Iguana at Boston Court Pasadena, which The LA Times lauded as 2025’s best play of the year. He is also a resident artist at A Noise Within Theatre where he regularly acts and teaches.
Most recently he portrayed the film director Mike Nichols in a wonderful new play called Best Line Wins by Beth Kander, which premiered at the Contemporary American Theatre Festival in July 2026. Other regional theater credits include: the Utah Shakespeare Festival, the Seattle Shakespeare Company, Book-It Repertory Theatre, Intiman, PCPA, and more.
Other TV/film credits include Titans, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Chicago PD, The National’s I Am Easy to Find, Bon Iver’s Day One, 20 Pounds to Happiness, Second Nature, Heathens, Shared Experience, Nice Guy, Parallel Lines, and Breakdown.
